This piece aims to highlight the evolving nature of how we define beauty and femininity in the twenty-first century. The pearls serve as a sort of time-line, connecting the collage-inspired elements of what was beautiful in the past to what we view as beauty today. Beginning with pure, light colors and ending in a muddied, perverse depiction of modern beauty, I hope this piece draws attention to changes in the twenty-first century feminine ideals.
